Very nice, spreads really well, and is little sweeter than standard pickle. It reminded me more of a caramelised onion pickle in terms of sweetness but without the overriding onion flavour. Would recommend!

Amazing flavour, would happily order again — your chutney compliments literally every dish! ✨

I tried Amas Chutney and really enjoyed it. Chutney was full of flavour, authentic, healthy, and very tasty. You can tell it’s made with quality ingredients. Highly recommend!

This was a genuinely tasty chutney and brought out the flavours of the cheese in our cheese and biscuits selection. I liked the gentle warmth of the spices. It wasn’t overpowering, it was just enough to give it a bit of interest! (If that’s the right word 🤣) I would absolutely recommend this.

Very tasty Chutney indeed. I have more on order. I hope more flavours come out as if they are as nice as the one I tried (Apple, Pear and Chickpea) I’ll end up needing to buy a box of them!

Meet Ama Rani
‘Ama’ comes from Ammamma, the word for maternal grandmother – and that is exactly who Rani is: the grandmother behind every jar of Ama’s Rustic Pantry.
Her grandchildren loved her cooking so much they told her to open a restaurant. Instead, she chose something closer to her heart: handmade, small-batch chutney, made by hand in Cambridge, the way she has always cooked for the people she loves.
Her recipes carry her journey from the tea plantations and mossy forests of Malaysia’s Cameron Highlands to the rustic charm of Cambridge – western fruits met with the warmth of eastern spices, balanced sweet and sour, spicy and zesty.
For Rani, food has always been about more than taste. It is about family, memory and feeding the people around you – and that is the spirit in every jar.
Good food is about more than taste. It is about people, places and memories shared together.
